Give Items
We are always grateful for donations as they mean we can support more families and young children who need our help.
If you would like to donate new items but are not sure what to get, please consider our Essential Wishlist which we update regularly or our Christmas Wishlist for toys for children.
If you have any pre-loved items for children aged 0 to 5 years old that you think another family could use, please consider donating them to Baby Aid Birmingham. Please ensure they are clean and look good as new. We can only accept pre-loved items from smoke-free homes, as some children or their families may have breathing issues.
We want families to feel that anything they get from Baby Aid Birmingham is a gift, rather than a handout so if something has seen better days we might not be able to accept it. There are also a number of things we cannot accept due to UK safety regulations.
The items we can accept currently:
Nappies
Formula milk
Blankets and bedding
Baby food and toddler snacks
Moses baskets
Baby baths
Baby bottles and sippy cups
Children's toiletries
Stair gates
Pushchairs (including doubles)
Toys
Sanitary products
Due to safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept:
Mattresses that have been used or are no longer in their original packaging
Unsorted clothing
Car seats
Birthing equipment
Open packets
Used bottles
Reusable nappies
Please note:
We cannot accept items that are meant for children over the age of 5 years old. We would recommend donating them to your local charity shop instead.
If in doubt, a good rule to follow is: if you wouldn't give it to your own child, please don't pass it on to us (we hate saying no to things, but we will if we have to).
If you’re still not sure, please contact us and we will let you know if we can accept the donation.
