Our Impact

With over a million residents and home to a number of internationally recognised organisations, Birmingham is a young, diverse and celebrated city. But it also has the second highest rate of child poverty in the country.

Baby Aid Birmingham was born in March 2020 and since has helped an average of 250 children a month. A usual pack could include nappies, clothes and toiletries. There was already a need for an organisation like us, but with the arrival of Covid-19 essentials became unaffordable for even more families.

In additional to our core work we were able to provide new shoe vouchers for children first starting school, as well as Christmas gifts for 200 children in 2020.

Our mission is to provide dignity to families, giving them a hand up and not a hand out, improving their mental health and wellbeing.

We have been grateful to receive humbling feedback from the people we help, please read below. We ensure to maintain anonymity.
